Prom On The Porch: For the Class Of 2020, The Show Must Go On

It was written in the stars for the graduating class of 2020 to leave a unique legacy, graduating during unprecedented circumstances and celebrating the farewell of their student days amidst a global pandemic.

Across the nation, schools, parents, and communities are coming together to create a sense of normalcy and festivity for students. From virtual online dances to drive-by parades, a new normal is emerging. One that proclaims that the show must go on.

Prom on the Porch is an immersive, social-distance safe pop-up that re-creates some of the cornerstones of the prom experience on the front yard.  This includes a drive-up procession, grand entrance, photo op, and of course dancing. Attendees are encouraged to dress up to the nines, strike a pose and celebrate with their friends as a DJ and live musicians play some of their favorite songs.  Light refreshments are served and masked entertainers add to the magical atmosphere with aerial performances and synchronized dances.

“To see that people know how tragic this is for a lot of us, that they’re still trying to make things better, is really nice.” ~ Senior Annabell Polak speaking to KTLA after attending our first Prom on the Porch event in Sherman Oaks

Each Porch Pop-Up experience is customized to fit the wishes of the attendees – from smaller family gatherings to large community events including class proms and graduations, to bloc parties and birthday parades.  Entertainment options range from an elegant touch to a full-scale production with live musical acts and engaging performances.

In addition to entertainment, we collaborated with many talented local businesses to create the ambiance, decor, and design of our very first Prom on the Porch. This included:
